MODERN "ANTIQUE" FISH DECOYS
Some modern fish decoys have been artificially "aged" or "distressed" to make them appear older than they are.
Telltale characteristics are fins and line ties that are "too" rusty and paint that is "too" evenly worn.
Collectors should be careful not to mistake such decoys for genuine antiques.
